A Journey Through Inner and Outer Landscapes

My abstract art series is inspired by the rugged and breathtaking nature surrounding the Kebnekaise massif, located within the Arctic Circle in Sweden. After my journey to Mount Kebnekaise in 2023, I found myself deeply moved by the many faces of nature and its indescribable power.

The trip became an odyssey through unexpected emotions and profound experiences that reshaped my artistic vision. I was captivated by the rocks with their terrifying yet beautiful shapes, the streams that sang loudly as they carved their wild paths, the waterfalls that danced down steep cliffs, the mist that sought to mislead, and the vegetation fighting for its place in the landscape.

In my art, I strive to capture the essence of these landscapes through abstract faces and geometric forms. Squares, mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, and plants intertwine in a way that reflects the complexity of nature, its serene beauty, and untamed spirit. Each painting tells a story, with names tied to the locations that inspired them, like Giebmegáisi, the Northern Sami name for Kebnekaise.

Through my work, I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for nature’s beauty and to convey the ancient Nordic essence that flows through these landscapes. May my art find a place in your heart and encourage you to explore both the world around us and the worlds within.

About me.

Since childhood, creativity has been my meditation through life’s emotional stages. My artistic journey gained momentum in 2016 at a book printing company where I worked with traditional letterpresses. I was responsible for Art Catching, an initiative that transformed Gothenburg’s poster pillars into a 24/7 gallery for free public art. Each week, we displayed new art prints with QR codes inviting interactivity. The prints were created on a hand press, making each one a unique original in oil.

Within this creative environment, I also curated exhibitions showcasing my handmade cliché works crafted from linoleum, hard plastic, paper, and experimental materials. I created art using paperclips, crushed cans, and old coins. The freedom to create without limitations inspired me to highlight the diversity of art.

I am passionate about sharing the joy of creation. Through teaching at a primary school, I showed children that art is free, opening new worlds for young minds. One of my most cherished projects was creating a fantasy land in a preschool, where walls and floors became a canvas for playful art.

A trip to the mountains in August 2023 marked a turning point in my artistry. There, I discovered nature’s multifaceted faces and an inner freedom in creation. Since then, the power and beauty of nature have been the core of my work.

I explore nature’s faces and elements in my abstract pieces. Using geometric forms like squares, mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls, I weave together the essence of nature. Each face I create reflects the complexity of landscapes, their tranquility, and untamed energy. Here, I’ve found my true home and live my passion.
